Since 2015, our guiding principle has been simple: anyone can learn how markets work, if they’re given the right tools in the right environment. What they choose to do with their newfound skills is entirely up to them. They can trade. They can invest. They can walk away and decide it’s not for them. That choice is personal.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth…
Most “beginner-friendly” trading resources don’t make room for that kind of thinking. When we began researching trading education, in the early 2010s, most learning tools felt rushed and shallow. It was often unclear whose interests they served, but it rarely seemed to be the beginner’s. Many focused almost entirely on predictions, winning, and confidence, while ignoring the psychological reality of how trading decisions are actually made.
That reality has not disappeared, and even in 2026, it is still common. But in some unique way, that makes our job much easier.
All we have to do was focus on the opposite.
More than a decade in, with millions of learners behind us, that idea is still evolving. Trading Game was built to give beginners a place to explore markets without risking real money, and without being told what to believe.
Learn by doing
The simple truth is, you don’t learn markets (or anything for that matter) by just reading about them, or by memorizing acronyms, or by quoting Buffett at parties. Knowledge is easy to acquire, but insight is not. And insight, the kind that changes how you think, act, and how you navigate challenges, can only come from hands-on experience. You take part, you make a decision, you see what happens. You ask why. Some trades work. Some don’t. That’s the point.

Our mission
Trading Game was founded by Janis, Axel, and Rinalds, and has been shaped over a decade by a team with background in higher education, banking, finance, software engineering, and market analysis.
What brought us together wasn’t a shared strategy or a single market view. It was a shared discomfort with the ‘certainty’ being sold in an environment that is inherently uncertain.
Trading Game is not built to convince you to trade or invest. We do not promise easy confidence, guaranteed profits, or predictability. Markets do not offer those things, and pretending otherwise helps no one.
Our mission is to provide genuine understanding – the kind that develops gradually through practice and doesn’t rely on borrowed confidence.
